All profits from With Love, Your Coffee Shop Vol. I Going to Twin Cities Music Community Trust.
The Twin Cities Music Community Trust was started in 2006 with a mission of defraying medical and living expenses for those in the local music community in times of need. Due to other obligations, the original organizers turned over operations to First Avenue Productions in 2019. The mission of the Trust was broadened to include not only assistance to those in need, but also education, workforce training, and opportunity for Minnesotans to participate in the creation, performance, or appreciation of the arts.
In March 2020, COVID-19 led to widespread, prolonged cancellations of gatherings over 10 people, having a disproportionate impact on the music and event industry workforce – people whose job it is to use music to gather community. The Twin Cities Music Community Trust’s Emergency Relief Fund was immediately established. This fund aims to provide relief to our friends and neighbors who rely on gigs to pay their bills, providing a home away from home for all those who love music.
Twin Cities Music Community Trust is accepting applications for funding. Funds are open to all Minnesotans in the live music industry–stage crew, production staff, bartenders, photographers, musicians, and the like.
